One Mohonk Memory

Taken on an old Nikon point and shoot digital camera the real fun was transforming this dreary photo afterwards. The “bones” where there but it just needed a nudge into a direction that the camera couldn’t do.

Around 100 images here taken but due to really dank lighting from a storm only a handful could be left in their “natural” state right out of the camera.

Salsa Chicken and Field Greens

Once again I look at the clock and can’t figure out what to make for dinner. The rest of the family wanted soup. I just was not in a soup mood. Wait! I think I have… yes! I do all the ingredients for my old standby Salsa Chicken and Field Greens.

  • Left over chicken pieces
  • Salsa
  • Corn (not needed)
  • Shredded Colby or taco seasoned cheese
  • Tortilla chips (5-6)
  • Field greens

Take any leftover chicken or a handful of one of those shortcut pieces of  chicken that you get from the store.
Cut up and place in a microwave safe bowl. Add the corn and enough salsa to make everything wet.

Stir and pop into the microwave until it just past warm. Carefully pull out and pour over a bed of greens and crumbled tortilla chips. Add a small handful of shredded cheese on top quickly so it melts a little.

Grab a fork and eat!

Mint Chocolate Chip Newborn Cap

It’s that time of year again when I get the itch to start using yarn. The cool weather brings it out of me just as easily as seeing a new pattern I just have to try. Here is one that I did last year and I have yet to find a home for.

The cap was done on a blue Knifty Knitter loom with a double strand approach and the beginner hat pattern.

Compartment Organization

So why another blog?

I’m coming to realize that the tech part of me is on a question to find the one free tool I can live with. So until I land at a spot that has what I want here it is.

Actually, since there are so many sides to what I do I just might continue to compartmentalize everything… little bits add up to a who mess of something.
